In May 2007, Erik Huyer was appointed Hotel Manager of Saudi Arabia's award-winning 'Leading Business Hotel 2007', Hotel Al Khozama, A Rosewood Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Huyer has more than 30 years of hotelier experience in diverse and often challenging markets. Huyer, has a keen sense of exactly what his guests need, and responds accordingly.

His career path spans the breadth of Australia with Hilton International and ITT Sheraton now part of Starwood Hotels, including positions held in Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Perth and Queensland, as well as four years with The Regent, Auckland, New Zealand. Huyer then moved on to more ambitious developments with Delta in the Philippines and Vietnam, The Gulf Hotel, Bahrain, The InterContinental Heliopolis and Holiday Inn Heliopolis, Cairo in Egypt. Huyer's previous position was as Executive Assistant Manager at The InterContinental, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Married with a daughter, Huyer is fluent in both English and his native Dutch language. His other interests include golf, cooking, antiques and classic cars.
